Theresa May is bracing herself for another torrid week ahead of the European elections.
As the Conservative Party continues to flounder in the opinion polls, and with Mrs May still unable to find a way out of the Brexit impasse, the Tories are in danger of a hammering from Nigel Farage's Brexit Party in Thursday's elections.
One weekend opinion poll put the Tories in a humiliating fifth place behind the Greens. Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party is also set for a difficult week, with the same poll putting it third behind the anti-Brexit Liberal Democrats.
Meanwhile, Mrs May is today set to begin discussions with senior ministers on her proposed new "bold offer" to MPs in a final attempt to get her Brexit deal through Parliament.
