European elections 2019: Where is my nearest polling station and what are the opening hours?

Voters will be heading to the polls tomorrow (Thursday, May 23) for the European Parliamentary elections.

People in the South West will be voting to elect six Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to represent the region within the EU. These are the South West candidates for the EU elections.

The seats are currently held by William Dartmouth, Ashley Fox, Julia Reid, Julie Girling, Clare Moody and Molly Scott Cato.

For those of you voting in person, polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.

To help you cast your vote this Thursday, we've got an interactive tool that will show you where the nearest polling station is to your home.

You can use the widget below to figure out where you need to go to cast your vote tomorrow.

Votes in the South West will be counted by each local authority on Sunday afternoon. For example counts will be taking place in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset where votes cast in that constituency will be counted.

In the South West, once the votes have been counted in each area they will all be sent to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in Poole where all the votes from across the region will be tallied.

The final result for the South West is expected around 10pm on Sunday, May 26.
