Revenue has seized over €300,000 worth of illegal drugs hidden in chocolate boxes that were addressed to Dublin.
The find came on Tuesday when officers in Athlone discovered over 4kg of cocaine concealed in Milka multipack boxes that originated in the Netherlands.
The drugs had an estimated value of €305,200 and were destined for Dublin.
A Revenue spokeswoman said: "Investigations are ongoing.
"This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
"If businesses or members of the public have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on Confidential Phone Number 1800 295 295."
