Anna Grodzka

Anna Grodzka was elected to the Sejm in the 2011 Polish parliamentary elections as a candidate for the liberal Palikot's Movement. She is the first known transsexual member of parliament in European history. Born in 1954 as Krzysztof Bęgowski, she underwent male-to-female sex reassignment surgery in 2010.

Ralph Schneeberger

Ralf Schneeberger was the head of a joint project of the Lutheran City Mission Hall Association and the multimedia mobile TV DOCU for people with and without the handicap of the open channel Wettin eV.

Ade Adepitan

Ade Adepitan MBE is a British television presenter and wheelchair basketball player. He uses a wheelchair as a result of contracting polio as a child which led to the loss of use of his left leg. He has dedicated his adult life to not only becoming a pro-athlete but to also supporting charities that work with disability.

Maxine Room CBE

Maxine is an experienced chief executive and strategic leader who was appointed principal and chief executive of Lewisham College in September 2009. Lewisham College was awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status in 2004 and gained a Beacon Award for the strength of its links with employers in 2007.

Sandra Kerr

Sandra is the national director for Race for Opportunity, which is a business-led network of organisations from the private and public sector committed to making race equality part of their business agenda.

Benja Stig Fagerland

Benja Stig Fagerland was the initiator and originator of the highly recognised project Female Future, which was developed for NHO - the confederation of Norwegian enterprise. The project Female Future has received a number of national and international prizes.

Doreen Lawrence

Doreen D. Lawrence OBE is a British campaigner and writer who first came to public attention in 1993 as the mother of Stephen Lawrence, a black British teenager who was murdered in a racial attack in south east London. Following the murder of their son in 1993, Doreen and Neville Lawrence believed that the Metropolitan Police investigation was not being conducted in a professional manner, citing incompetence and racism as prime flaws.

Emma Reed

Emma Reed is the head of sexual orientation and transgender policy for the Government Equalities Office. In this post, which she has held since November 2008, Emma has the lead responsibility for the legislation which protects lesbian, gay and bisexual and transgender people against discrimination. This includes civil partnerships and the new Equality Act 2010.
