Europa League preliminary round draw: Glentoran and Coleraine discover opponents

Glentoran and Coleraine discovered their Europa League opponents on Sunday.

The draw for the preliminary round was made in Nyon, Switzerland.

Irish Cup winners Glentoran will host HB Torshavn of the Faroe Islands in their tie.

The Glens will have home advantage for the clash later this month.

Meanwhile, Danske Bank Premiership runners-up Coleraine will also have home advantage in their preliminary round tie.

Oran Kearney's Bannsiders will take on La Fiorita of San Marino at the Showgrounds.

The games will be played over one leg due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will take place on August 20, with extra time and a penalty shootout if required.

The winners will advance to the Europa League first qualifying round, with the draw for that taking place tomorrow (Monday).

This season all qualifying ties will be single-leg matches behind closed doors.
