Europa League giants plot move for Leeds United goalkeeper - reports

Sevilla are reportedly keen on bringing Kiko Casilla back to his homeland just a few months after he left Real Madrid for Leeds United.

Spanish outlet Marca state Sevilla's Director of Football Monchi is exploring a move for the 32-year-old goalkeeper, as he looks to continue what has been a busy summer in Andalusia.

Serial Europa League winners Sevilla have been on a heavy recruitment drive this summer, announcing ten signings already, but they are in the hunt for further depth between the sticks.

Tomas Vaclik is first-choice with the LaLiga side but Sergio Rico, who spent last season with Fulham in the Premier League, is looking for a new club for the 2019/20 season.

As such, the report states Sevilla have made a list of the requirements that they want from a new stopper, as they look for someone with experience in Spain's top-flight, a low-cost transfer and someone who has the ability to compete with Vaclik for a starting berth.

Casilla fits the bill but it remains to be seen whether Leeds would accept the departure of a player who made 19 league appearances after his arrival in the New Year.

He was linked with an exit from Elland Road at the start of the summer but no developments have followed those claims, suggesting that it was merely paper talk.

The veteran still has four-years remaining on his contract at Elland Road and looks set to begin the 2019/20 campaign as Marcelo Bielsa's favoured stopper ahead of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
