Europa League draw: Potential quarter-final and semi-final ties that await Arsenal & Man United

The Europa League quarter-final and semi-final draw takes place on Friday, with two Premier League sides eagerly waiting to see who they will be paired with.

Arsenal came close to winning the crown in 2018/19 but were beaten 4-1 by Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final, but this season's competition is vital with the competition realistically their best chance of sealing a return to the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho has won this competition twice as a manager but has been denied the chance of doing so again as Tottenham Hotspur let a two-goal first-leg lead slip against Dinamo Zagreb.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have booked their place in the quarter-final after a 1-0 second leg win at the San Siro to eliminate European heavyweights AC Milan.

With that said, here's all the details for the quarter-final and semi-final draw.

When is the draw?

The Europa League quarter-final and semi-final draw takes place on Friday, March 19 at 12pm, UK time, or at least that's when things get up and running.

It will take place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

What are the rules?

There are none.

There has been no seeding or country protection rules for the Round of 16 onwards, meaning anyone can draw anyone unless there are any political reasons teams from different countries cannot play.

But, in the case of Arsenal and Man United, they will be able to draw each other or anyone else at this stage of the competition.

Who will be in the draw?

Ajax (NED)

Arsenal (ENG)

Granada (ESP)

Manchester United (ENG)

Slavia Praha

Roma (ITA)

Dinamo Zagreb (CRO)

Villarreal (ESP)

When will the quarter-finals be played?

The quarter-final first leg ties will take place on April 8, while second leg fixtures will be played on April 15.

Games will be split between 5.55pm and 8pm, both UK time.

When will the semi-finals be played?

The semi-final first leg ties will take place on April 29, while second leg fixtures will be played on May 6.
