Europa League draw confirmed as Man Utd and Wolves discover their fate

Manchester United and Wolves have discovered their fate after the draw was made for the Europa League quarter-finals and semi-finals.

The Europa League will be finalised with a mini-tournament in Germany from August 10 to August 21, with Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen, Dusseldorf and Cologne will all staging games.

Both clubs will host the second legs of their last-16 ties on the weekend of August 7/8, with United already all but assured of a quarter-final spot with a 5-0 lead over LASK ahead of their Old Trafford clash.

A clash with Istanbul Basaksehir or FC Copenhagen in the last eight now awaits, with either Wolves, Olympiakos, Sevilla or Roma in their way in the semi-finals.

Wolves, meanwhile, drew 1-1 behind closed doors in Greece against Olympiakos and face a tough test at Molineux in a bid to earn a tie against Sevilla or Roma and keep their European campaign alive.

If they overcome Olympiakos and Roma or Sevilla, they could end up facing Premier League rivals Manchester United in the semi-finals.

Rangers, meanwhile, are facing an uphill task as they trail Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 in their last-16 tie.

They will head to Germany for the second leg knowing an unlikely comeback will set up a quarter-final with Inter Milan or Getafe.

Either Wolfsburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Eintracht Frankfurt or Basel would then await in the semi-finals.

The exact venues for the games are yet to be confirmed, but all ties beyond the last-16 will now be one-legged affairs leading to the August 21 final in Cologne.

The quarter-finals will take place on August 10/11, kicking off at 8pm BST, with the semi-finals being held on August 16/17, also at 8pm BST.
