Europa League: Crusaders see off B36 Torshavn to book clash with Premier League club Wolves

Crusaders eased past B36 Torshavn on Thursday night to book a Europa League date with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Stephen Baxter's men claimed a 3-2 win in the Faroe Islands to progress 5-2 on aggregate.

They built the platform for their success with last week's 2-0 victory in Belfast, and they rammed home their authority early on in tonight's return leg.

Jordan Forsythe broke the deadlock in the third minute to make it 1-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate.

Paul Heatley extended the visitors' advantage in the 28th minute to put the Irish Cup winners firmly in control.

They didn't have it all their own way, though.

B36 pulled one back before the break when Hugin Samuelsen scored to make it 2-1 (4-1 agg).

And then the home side drew level in the game six minutes after the break when Lukasz Cieslewicz found the net.

It was proving an eventful evening for Crusaders, but any nerves were calmed when Heatley bagged his second of the night in the 68th minute.

Haugesund 5 Cliftonville 1 (Agg 6-1)

Cliftonville's Conor McMenamin celebrates after scoring (Inpho)

Cliftonville threatened a potential upset before eventually succumbing to the quality of Haugesund in Norway.

Despite going behind to Kristoffer Velde's fifth-minute opener, the Reds fought their way back into this tie when Conor McMenamin levelled on the night in the 17th minute.

Two goals in the final 10 minutes of the opening half put an end to any comeback glory, however.

Martin Samuelsen made it 2-1 in the 36th minute and then in added time Ibrahima Kone extended Haugesund's lead.

It was 4-1 on the night (5-1 on aggregate) when Bruno Leite scored in the 52nd minute, and Velde added his second and Haugesund's fifth in the 68th minute.

The Norwegian side will now face Sturm Graz in the next round.

The Swedes forged ahead in the 28th minute when Behrang Safari volleyed home from all of 30 yards into the top corner.

It was 2-0 in the 52nd minute when Guillermo Molins turned and finished in style.

Erdal Rakip added a third for Malmo on the night and then Romain Gall made it 4-0 from the penalty spot.
