Shamrock Rovers will fancy their chances of making the play-offs for the Europa Conference after getting a favourable draw today.
After getting a bye into the third round, Stephen Bradley's side will play the winners of the second round tie between Teuta and Inter Club d'Escaldes.
Andorran side Inter Club d'Escaldes will be familiar to Dundalk fans, with the Lilywhites beating them on their way to last year's group stages.
While Albanian outfit Teuta have just one win in a tie over their last eight European campaigns and they were on the wrong end of a 5-0 aggregate loss to Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League earlier this month.
If Dundalk manage to get past Levadia Tallinn of Estonia this week, they will then face Vitesse who finished fourth in the Dutch league last season.
The task will not be much easier for Bohemians, either, who now know that a second round win over Luxembourg outfit F91 Dudelange will see them play Greece's PAOK in the third round.
The third round ties will be played on 5 and 12 August.
