The EuroMillions draw on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, saw no winners come forward to claim the staggering £191 million jackpot prize.

The organisation revealed that there were five players across Europe who missed out by one lucky star, with three hailing from the UK, who received £3.6 million each.

However, now the rollover £191 million prize money is up for grabs on Friday evening’s draw and no further money will be added to the pot as it is already at its Jackpot cap limit.

With a record amount up for grabs, here’s everything you need to know about the EuroMillions jackpot and rollover draw.

What is the EuroMillions jackpot?

On Friday, July 15, 2022, the EuroMillions draw will have £191 million up for grabs – an amount that would make the winner wealthier than Adele. To win the money, a UK National Lottery EuroMillions ticket-holder must match all the numbers in Friday’s draw, if they do so, they will break the current top record.

To win the jackpot you need to be the only person to get five main numbers plus two lucky stars. The amount you can win reduces the fewer main numbers and lucky stars you get.

This week, five main numbers and one lucky star could bag you £130,554.30, whereas five numbers will see a return of £13,561.20.

All participants in the EuroMillions will also gain an automatic entry to the UK Millionaire Maker, with a £1 million jackpot.

When is the EuroMillions rollover announced?

The EuroMillions rollover is announced on their website at about 9:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Participants can play up to seven lines of numbers on each play slip and buy up to 10 play slips at a time.

Then, choose the draws and weeks you’d like to play – you can play up to four weeks in advance or continuously by Direct Debit.

When can you buy tickets?

You can buy tickets for the EuroMillions draw on both Tuesdays and Fridays. You must purchase your ticket before 7:30pm, on the day of the draw, to be in with a chance to win.

Who are the most recent big winners?

The winnings would also capsize the previous record of £184 million which was won by Joe and Jess Thwaite less than two months ago.

In 2019, an anonymous winner took home a staggering £170 million. Colin and Chris Weir won £161million on the EuroMillions in 2011.

Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Suffolk won £148.6million, after exchange rates, on August 10, 2012 after buying a Lucky Dip from a convenience store.

Just one lucky ticket matched all the numbers to scoop the £114.9million New Year’s Day EuroMillions jackpot in 2019. And, in 2016, the Davies family won £61 million.

Bev Doran won £14million on the EuroMillions in 2017. And, in 2017, a group of NHS dinner ladies took home a £25m lottery jackpot.
