Euromillions results: Winning lottery numbers for Friday night's £31m draw

It's Friday night, the weekend is upon us and all we can think about is having a great time after another working week.

But imagine how much greater it could be if you won tonight's (May 17) Euromillions draw.

After nobody scooped the top prize earlier on in the week, the jackpot stands at a staggering £31m.

How would you spend that money if you were the lucky ticket holder?

A luxury holiday, a flash car, brand new wardrobe or even paying off those bills that you have not quite managed to meet yet - the list is pretty much endless. And you still probably have cash left over after all of that.

And even if you don't bag the big prize tonight, you could still be one of two guaranteed winners of £1m in the UK Millionaire Maker raffle.

Now have those tickets at the ready as here are the winning numbers for Friday, May 17:

Here are tonight's numbers: 16, 28, 42, 43, 45

The Lucky Stars are: 06, 07

The winning Thunderball numbers are: 05, 09, 21, 24, 34

The Thunderball is: 08

Millionaire Maker Selection - one UK millionaire has been created: XTHX46050

Could you be celebrating? (National Lottery)

Even though there were no jackpot winners on Tuesday (May 15), one lucky player in the UK won £236, 245.60.

In total, there were 16,744,259 entries into this draw from all participating countries with 313,165 prizes going to people in the UK.

Euromillions is played in nine European countries and has two draws a week, with jackpots sometimes reaching into the hundreds of millions of pounds in the event of a multiple-rollover.

Draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays and costs £2.50 a ticket.
