One Irish punter has just beat the coronavirus blues by scooping €500,000 in the EuroMillions.
The lucky Lotto player is €500,000 richer after claiming the jackpot in the Plus draw.
The punter, who bought their ticket in the east of Ireland, matched all five numbers in the draw.
The winning numbers were 01, 08, 15, 26 and 41.
Meanwhile, there was no winner of the main draw's top prize of €39.1million.
The numbers drawn were 16, 19, 34, 46 and 50, and the lucky stars were 02 and 06.
In total, over 41,000 players in Ireland won prizes.
