EuroMillions results: Lucky Irish punter scoops €500,000 in Friday's draw

One lucky punter in Ireland is €500,000 richer after Friday's EuroMillions draw.

The player has booked a date at Lotto HQ to collect the monster prize after claiming the EuroMillions Plus jackpot.

The winning numbers were 01, 04, 09, 17 and 42. The Lotto punter bought their ticket online.

Meanwhile, the EuroMillions top prize of over €100million was not scooped. But a total of 70,000 players in Ireland won prizes.

The winning numbers for the main draw were 04, 17, 35, 42, 45 and the lucky stars were 02 and 08.
