A lucky Irish punter is starting the weekend in style after scooping €176,702 in Friday's EuroMillions draw.
The player came agonisingly close to winning the incredible €17m jackpot but missed out by one number.
However, they matched five numbers and the bonus to bag the second highest prize of the night.
Lotto bosses have yet to reveal where the lucky winner bought their ticket.
The numbers drawn were: 06, 22, 29, 40, 43 and Lucky Stars: 04, 07.
There was no winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 but in total, over 57,000 players in Ireland won prizes.
The numbers for the Plus draw were: 28, 31, 33, 42 and 43.
