EuroMillions player in Dublin will have merry Lidl Christmas after they won €500,000

A lucky Dublin  Euromillions  layer has landed an early Christmas present after scooping a whopping €500,000 in last night's draw.

The winning Euromillions Plus ticket was sold in Lidl on the New Nangor Road in Clondalkin.

A National Lottery spokesperson has urged players to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winner, Dublin Live reports.

They said: “As public health restrictions began to lift yesterday ahead of the festive season, one shopper in Clondalkin has given themselves an early, unexpected Christmas present of €500,000.

"We are asking anyone who popped into the Lidl on the Nangor Road for their shopping yesterday to check their tickets to see have they won this amazing prize."

The winning numbers from last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw are: 04, 09, 19, 28 and 44.

There was no winner of the €178,983,729 EuroMillions jackpot which rolls to a staggering €200 million on Friday.

The Lottery spokesperson added: “While there was no winner of last night’s EuroMillions jackpot of €178,983,729, more than 70,000 players in Ireland were prize winners so we are calling on everyone across the country, particularly in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, to check their tickets.

"If you are this lucky winner please sign the back of the ticket and get in touch with the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to get your prize”.

Meanwhile, tonight's  Lotto  prize is set to hit €11 million - the highest jackpot of the year.

The National Lottery spokesperson said: "When the Lotto jackpot passes the €10 million mark we always see a surge of excitement among our players.

"With draws at this level, we would expect a lot more players to be buying tickets, dreaming of this massive jackpot, in the hours leading up to tonight’s draw.

"We are asking all of our players to continue to follow the health guidance currently in place in stores across the country."
