EuroMillions numbers over an hour late with £85m jackpot up for grabs

Tonight's EuroMillions numbers were more than an hour late with punters left waiting to see if they've scooped the £85m jackpot.

Ticket buyers are demanding answers after the unexplained long delay.

Tensions were running high with the results running more than an hour late.

BREAKING:

The results finally came in at 9.38pm with the lucky numbers 8, 19, 20, 29, 44 and the Lucky Stars are 3 and 8.

The winning numbers are drawn in Paris, and a spokeswoman for National Lottery operator Camelot said she had not been given a reason for the delay from France - despite the numbers having been drawn.

The Euromillion website had only an error message, and punters signalled their frustration on social media in English and in French.

The delay left ticket holders mystified. One wrote: "What's happened to the #EuroMillions numbers tonight. Sat here wondering if I can put an offer in on a lighthouse that's up for sale!"

Another asked: "What's going on with the #EuroMillions? I could be writing writing my notice as we speak!"

One hopeful posted: "Are the Euromillions numbers delayed because I've won?"

An unhappy ticket holder wrote: "Bit strange. Why are the EuroMillions draws so secretive?"

The Thunderball draw was made at 8.20pm.

The lucky balls were 9, 18, 24, 29, 35 and the Thunderball is 3.
