EuroMillions Match 5 €265K winning ticket sold at Applegreen station in Cavan

Lotto bosses have revealed last night's winning EuroMillions ticket was sold at a filling station in Cavan.

A lucky player scooped an incredible €265,150 when they matched five numbers and one Lucky Star.

They came agonisingly close to winning the jaw-dropping €49,112,673 jackpot but missed out by just one number.

The golden ticket was sold at an Applegreen service station on the Dublin Road in Kingscourt.

The winning EuroMillions numbers were: 01, 02, 05, 15, 42 and the Lucky Stars were 05 and 08.

Bhupendre Choudhary, manager of the lucky Applegreen store said:“It’s another big EuroMillions win for Cavan and most importantly, this time one of our very own customers picks up this huge prize. We are absolutely delighted for them.

"The whole town will be buzzing this morning and no doubt we’ll have a lot of people in the store to check their tickets in the hope that they might be over a quarter of a million richer today!”

It's the second big EuroMillions win for Cavan in the space of a week after another player in Baileboro bagged a EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 on Tuesday 28th July.

There was no winner of Tuesday’s €49 million EuroMillions jackpot which means that Friday’s jackpot is now heading for a massive €65 million.
