A Dublin Euromillions player came agonisingly close to landing almost €30 million on last night's draw.
Two players, one from Dublin and one from Wicklow, matched five numbers and one lucky star, falling just short of the whopping €29,998,047 jackpot.
But they may not be too disappointed as the numbers they both got up were still enough to bag almost €97,000.
The Dublin player bought their winning ticket online on the day of the draw while the lucky Wicklow punter purchased their golden ticket at the Centra store in the picturesque village of Rathdrum.
Lotto players in the two areas have been urged to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winners.
The winning numbers for last night’s draw were: 11, 20, 27, 30, 41 and the Lucky Stars were 03 and 05.
The winning ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets and to contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.
There was no winner of last night's jackpot with next Tuesday's draw set to have an estimated €40 million on offer.
