Euromillions couple leave Lorraine Kelly in disbelief as they miss out on £182million jackpot

Lorraine Kelly was left wincing with sympathy for an unlucky young British couple who missed out on a life changing Euromillions win due to having insufficient funds in their account to purchase a ticket.

The Scottish TV host was back in action on her show on Wednesday and, after returning from an ad break, she told viewers: "Spare a thought for Liam McCrohan and Rachel Kennedy who missed out on a £182million Euromillions jackpot.

Rachel, 19, and Liam 21 were left “absolutely heartbroken” when they realised their usual numbers of 6, 12, 22, 29, 33, 6 and 11 had come up but the payment for their ticket couldn't go through.

Lorraine explained: "The couple's regular numbers came up in the draw but their ticket hadn't been purchased as their online account didn't have enough funds!"

Squirming at their very unfortunate bad luck, she added: "Can you imagine?! Oh no! You would...oh jeez!

"That's a tough one, that's a tough one isn't it?!"

Reacting to Liam and Rachel's devastating loss, one Twitter user posted: "That's just life messing with you."
