Someone has woke up a hell of a lot richer in Dublin today after scooping the top prize in the EuroMillions draw last night.
The Dubliner and a player from Louth won €500,000 each in the Plus draw making them the 12th and 13th winners so far of that jackpot this year.
The winning EuroMillions Plus ticket was bought at the Spar store at St. Agnes Park, Crumlin, Dublin 12. The other golden slip was sold in McCreesh’s on Avenue Road in Dundalk.
The National Lottery is now encouraging all of its players in Dublin and Louth to check their tickets.
A spokesperson said: “As Ireland moves to the next phase of reopening from the COVID 19 restrictions it is a nice time to win €500,000.
"If you are one of those two lucky ticketholders, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and please contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”
There was another notable winner in Dublin last night too as an online player matched five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw, winning a cool €13,455.
There was no winner of the €29m jackpot which rolls to an estimated €40 million for the next draw on Tuesday 9 June.
