EuroMillions €190m jackpot winner comes forward to claim mammoth prize

A UK ticket-holder has come forward and claimed the life-changing €190million EuroMillions jackpot to become the country's biggest ever winner.

The player matched all five main numbers - 07, 10, 15, 44, 49 - and the two lucky stars - 03, 12 - in Tuesday's draw following the longest-ever series of rollovers.

The whopping amount is set to change their lives and will make them richer than Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, and pop star Cheryl.

They are expected to also be wealthier than actress Dame Helen Mirren, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

National Lottery used Twitter to confirm the winner has come forward.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, "This is the biggest win ever on The National Lottery and we look forward to helping the ticket-holder start to enjoy their new found wealth.

"By buying a ticket for EuroMillions or any other National Lottery game, every player is helping to raise money for Good Causes. On average, around £30 million is raised every week for projects across the UK, both big and small, including funding everything from local community projects to supporting the nation’s athletes."

In the New Year's Day draw, Patrick and Frances Connolly , from Northern Ireland, won the £114.9 million EuroMillions jackpot.

Patrick, 54, who had bought a Lucky Dip online, discovered their amazing success after checking their numbers on several websites.

Sliding back in his chair in disbelief, he then turned to partner of 30 years Frances, 52, and asked her: “Do you want the good news...?”

The couple said they sat in silence after they realised they had won, struggling to take it in.

Frances said in January: “We don’t really do excited - perhaps I raised my voice just a bit at the time when I found out - but we celebrated with a cup of tea and a hug.”
