EuroMillions £180million rollover jackpot could make Britain’s biggest ever winner

The £180million EuroMillions rollover jackpot tomorrow could make one lucky ticket holder Britain’s biggest ever winner.

Lottery bosses are braced for a tickets stampede as punters dream big with the end of lockdown in sight.

Anyone lucky enough to snaffle the whole prize would beat the UK record of £170million won in 2019 by an anonymous winner and the £173m EuroMillions record in France last December.

They would be the 685th richest person in the UK, going by the latest Sunday Times Rich List – wealthier than pop star Adele, on £150m.

Over a quarter of punters say the first person they would tell if they won the jackpot is their mum.

Some 44% would tell their partner first, and 24% their kids, according to a poll of 2,000 by Camelot.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor for Camelot, said: “A single ticket-holder would become the 11th Brit to bank over £100m and our biggest ever winner.

“This is an incredible amount of money and if a lucky winner banks the lot, they are going to need some support.

"My team and I are on standby for our big winners as they start their life-changing journey and will be there every step of the way.”

The prize fund rollover is worth €210m, which is the highest it can be.

If the jackpot is not won when it reaches the cap it stays in place for four draws but must be won on the fifth.

In this rollover series, the “must be won” draw would be on March 9.

If no ticket matches all the numbers by that date the prize rolls down to the next prize category with at least one winner.
