Eurocamp is offering cheap PCR tests from £30pp for families this summer

Eurocamp has launched discounted PCR tests for its customers this summer - and the brand is even offering to reimburse some of the costs.

That means that holidaymakers who book with the brand will be able to be offered PCR tests from £30pp, down from £120pp.

That's because Eurocamp is offering discounted tests at £60 with Randox Health - and then they will still reimburse you £30.

However, those who choose to book their PCR test with a different provider won't miss out on the discounts entirely, as they can still claim the £30pp reimbursement on any tests that they need for their holiday.

You can find out more on eurocamp.co.uk. It's not the only travel firm to be offering discounted PCR test prices for its customers - it joins a line-up of holiday firms including TUI and easyJet. (We've actually got a guide comparing testing prices to give you a helping hand).

Eurocamp's Domaine des Ormes parc in France (Eurocamp)

Eurocamp currently offers holidays to the likes of France, Spain, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy and Austria , with some countries requiring proof of a negative Covid-19 test from holidaymakers in order to be allowed entry.

However, it's also worth noting that currently, all of Eurocamp's destinations are on the UK's amber list. This means that anyone returning to the UK will need to self-isolate for 10 days at home and also need to take two PCR tests on days two and eight (or day five where a negative result releases you early).

The government has warned Brits not to travel to amber destinations for holidays - in fact, the Foreign Office continues to advise against non-essential travel to these countries.

That didn't stop thousands of Brits from flocking to Spain this week, but there are some big risks involved. One of the key ones is that travelling against the Foreign Office advise will likely invalidate your travel insurance, meaning you won't be covered if your trip is affected by Covid-19, or if you have an accident/lose items/need medical treatment.

That means Brits who travel to amber list countries could be risking thousands of pounds.

Currently only the UK's green list doesn't require quarantine back in the UK (although you'll still need a pre-departure test and a PCR test on day two of your return). There are 12 countries and territories on the list, but only a handful of those are open to Brits for holidays at the time of writing, such as Portugal.

The next green list announcement is currently expected to be made by the government in early June, with hopes that more countries will be added and more holiday options on the cards for UK travellers.
