Euro 2020 winner odds: England and France favourites for tournament

After a year-long delay, Euro 2020 is finally here.

Twenty-four teams across a whole continent will be battling it out for the chance to be crowned champions of Europe.

Portugal won the tournament last time out, beating France in the final in Paris thanks to an extra-time goal from former Swansea City striker Eder.

Wales, who made it to the semi-finals last time out before losing to the eventual winners, are back for more and face Switzerland, Turkey and Italy in the group stages.

But who are the favourites for the tournament as a whole?

Didier Deschamps' France are the favourites with the bookmakers, with the stellar talent of Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann putting them ahead of England.

Gareth Southgate's men are in second spot, followed by Belgium, Wales' opponents Italy, Germany and then Portugal.

The list in full

France - 9/2

England - 5/1

Belgium - 11/2

Italy - 8/1

Germany - 7/1

Portugal - 8/1

France and England possess squads that would make most other nations blush.

Deschamps and Southgate have an embarrassment of riches to choose from but in tournament football, it doesn't always work out that way.

The chasing pack of Belgium, Italy and Germany will all fancy their chances, with Spain and the Netherlands also possessing quality in their ranks.

Wales are priced at 150/1 - worth a fiver on Rob Page's men?
