With Euro 2020 postponed until next summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, there are still places in the tournament at stake as teams face each other in the playoffs.
Northern Ireland and Scotland both progressed to the European Championship playoff finals after nervy penalty shootout wins, while the Republic of Ireland crashed out.
Northern Ireland beat Bosnia-Herzegovina on penalties after a 1-1 draw, while Scotland saw off Israel in a 5-3 shootout following a stalemate.
However, the Republic of Ireland fell 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw in Slovakia.
Elsewhere, Georgia beat Belarus 1-0, North Macedonia saw off Kosovo 2-1, Hungary won 3-1 in Bulgaria, and Iceland beat Romania 2-1.
All four finals are played on November 12.
Teams in the playoffs won their Uefa Nations League groups, or had a high placing, two years ago and then did not advance to Euro 2020 directly from the traditional qualifying groups.
The playoffs were originally scheduled to be played in March before Uefa shut down its competitions and postponed Euro 2020 by one year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
