Euro 2020 playoff dates: Ireland v Slovakia information, time, venue and more

It's all on the line in just a few weeks as Ireland take on Slovakia in a Euro 2020 playoff.

After months of uncertainty and postponements, the refixed clash looks finally set to go down in Bratislava as Stephen Kenny inherits a golden chance to qualify for a major tournament.

The Boys in Green must travel to Slovakia and take home a win to book a winner-takes-all final playoff for a place in Euro 2020.

And with Dublin set to host a handful of clashes at next summer's showpiece, fans are dreaming of another major tournament success.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of next month's crucial qualifiers.

KEY DATES

October 8: Slovakia v Ireland & Bosnia and Herzegovina v N. Ireland

November 12: Playoff final

TIME

Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45 pm in both playoff semi-finals.

VENUE

The Tehelné pole in Bratislava is currently fixed to host the Slovakia v Ireland game.

HOW CAN IRELAND QUALIFY?

The playoffs act as semi-finals, with the winner of Ireland-Slovakia going on to play either Bosnia and Herzegovina or Northern Ireland.

The final will be contested on November 12, subject to Covid-19 guidelines in different countries, and Bosnia and Herzegovina or Northern Ireland will have home advantage.

The winner will qualify for Euro 2020 next summer.
