Euro 2020 atmosphere builds as fans chant for Harry Kane ahead of England v Italy final

With the Euro 2020 final mere hours away, the Bristol streets are filled with the sound of music.

Fans from all over the city are arriving at pubs and restaurants several hours early to grab a table where they can watch England face-off against Italy in the historic final at 8pm.

Fans in King Street, sitting outside The Old Duke, were heard singing: 'Harry Kane scores a header singing do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do'

The rest of the lyrics were unclear but the joy and eagerness for a good performance from the Three Lions was evident.

The group of young men were boisterously chanting the lyrics to the benefit of any passers-by strolling past the city-centre boozer.

This comes as thousands of fans entered the city as early as 10am to watch the game and soak up the atmosphere.

Queues were stretching across the streets.

At just one bar, Allstars Sports Bar in Queens Road, a whopping ten hours before kick off, before 10am.

The Full Moon Pub had a long queue reportedly "eight people wide".

A visitor to the pub said: "The queue for the Full Moon goes through all the back street and around to Lakota and is about eight people wide.

"It’s mental. Must be hundreds of people."
