This year, it's NBC's turn to broadcast the event.

The Emmy Awards will air live on Foxtel Arena and Foxtel On Demand.

Who is hosting?
Kenan Thompson will take the stage to host this year's event.
The American actor and comedian is best known for starring in NBC's Saturday Night Live since 2003, making him the longest-tenured cast member in the show's history.
Highly regarded for his acting skills and comedic talents, Thompson is one of the most beloved stars of the industry.
Who is presenting?
The first 20 celebrity presenters for the 2022 Emmys were announced on Wednesday by the Television Academy.
Among them are: Kelly Clarkson, Ariana DeBose, Selena Gomez, Squid Game’s Jung Ho-yeon & Lee Jung-jae, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Jean Smart and Kerry Washington.
Who is nominated? Who are the frontrunners?
A plethora of fan favourites and Emmy newcomers alike are up for nominations this year.
Notably, HBO's Succession is leading the pack with 25 nominations — the most of any project this year.
The White Lotus has a similar shot with 20 nominations.
Nominated for best drama, Squid Game stands to make history again after already becoming the first non-English-language show to compete in the category.
On the comedic side of things, Apple TV Plus’s Ted Lasso, the Jason Sudeikis soccer comedy, landed 20 nominations and is primed to win big.
And last but never least, Zendaya has yet again been nominated for Euphoria in four categories — including being the youngest person ever to be nominated as a producer.
In 2020, the then 25-year-old made history as the youngest person to ever win a Best Actress Emmy.
Sydney Sweeney also received her first-ever Emmy nomination for both Euphoria and The White Lotus.
