Eunan O'Kane moving closer to first competitive outing in almost two years after pre-season training with Luton Town

Eunan O'Kane is moving closer to a first competitive outing in almost two years after featuring in pre-season training with Luton Town.

The Ireland midfielder suffered a career-threatening double leg break in his first spell on loan to the Hatters in a victory over Bristol Rovers on September 15, 2018.

On loan to Luton from Leeds United, O'Kane will hope to be ready to go for the start of the new Championship season after agreeing a new season-long loan with the Hatters.

The 30-year-old Derry man's current Leeds deal expires next summer.

He hasn't played for the Elland Road club since Marco Bielsa took charge in the summer of 2018.

O'Kane has seven senior Ireland caps, the last in the 3-1 friendly defeat to Mexico in New Jersey in 2017.
