Conor Benn secured revenge in his huge rematch with Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday, after suffering an agonising defeat in their April showdown.
Seven months ago, Eubank Jr defeated Benn on points in an instant classic at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, handing the 29-year-old his first professional loss. And on Saturday, the British rivals returned to the scene of that bout for a seismic sequel.
While the rematch failed to deliver the consistent drama of the first fight, with Benn establishing and maintaining a clear lead, fans were brought out of their seats in the final minute as Benn dropped Eubank Jr twice. Eubank Jr, 36, did well to rise each time, but the moments were the exclamation marks on Benn’s redemption.
In winning on points, the 29-year-old also did what his father Nigel could not: score a victory over a Eubank. In the 1990s, Nigel Benn fought Eubank Sr twice, emerging from their own bitter rivalry with a defeat and a draw. But Conor can say he went one better, after finally earning a victory for his family in this generational feud.

Benn made Eubank Jr look like an old man and the next move should be clear
21:00 , Steve BunceThe last fight of boxing’s greatest family rivalry finished for good late on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 35-year boxing war between the Eubank and Benn clans was completed against an odd backdrop of boos and vicious punching.
Chris Eubank Jr twice had to climb up from the blood-stained canvas in the twelfth and last round against Conor Benn to salvage pride for his family name, and hear the final bell. A round earlier, some in the crowd of 60,000 had booed the fight, unhappy at the level of skill and lack of slugging.

Conor Benn beats Chris Eubank Jr and crosses fine line between relief and revenge
19:01 , Alex PattleAfter 35 minutes of their much-hyped rematch, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr finally delivered the drama that coloured all 36 minutes of their enthralling initial clash.
With barely 60 seconds to go on this cold November night in Tottenham, Benn put down Eubank Jr, who was driven to the canvas a second time before all was said and done. Still, in one of many examples of staggering heart in this unique duo of duels, Eubank Jr rose to his feet both times, making it to the final bell.
That metallic clang was only ever going to herald one result: a clear decision victory for Benn, and more importantly for the 29-year-old, revenge and redemption.

Nigel Benn threatens to restart rivalry with Eubank family after son Conor’s win
17:01 , Alex PattleNigel Benn threatened to restart the rivalry with the Eubank family not long after Conor Benn’s victory as he launched into a furious tirade about “prat” Chris Eubank Sr.
Benn watched as son Conor produced a masterful display against Chris Eubank Jr at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday to claim redemption in a unanimous decision victory that had been 35 years in the making.
Eubank Sr won the first meeting in 1990 before former two-weight world champion Benn was incensed at a contentious draw at Old Trafford three years later.

Conor Benn says rivalry is ‘done, finished, over’ after beating Chris Eubank Jr
13:00 , Alex PattleConor Benn snapped back at his critics and promised the family rivalry was over after he claimed redemption against an out-of-sorts Chris Eubank Jr with a masterful display.
The sons of Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr had produced a classic encounter in April which went the way of the latter to ensure it was 2-0 to the Eubanks after three historic bouts.
A fourth and final instalment failed to match the drama of previous contests, but Benn produced a composed showing for the best performance of his career to win by unanimous decision after the judges scored the one-sided fight 119-107, 116-110 and 118-108.

Chris Eubank Jr: I went ‘through hell and back’ ahead of defeat to Conor Benn
11:03 , Alex PattleChris Eubank Jr refused to rule out retirement after defeat to Conor Benn, but acknowledged he needed time to heal after going “through hell and back” before Saturday’s fight.
Eubank Jr (36-4, 25KOs) had played his part in a classic encounter with Benn (24-1, 14KOs) in April and got the better of his rival in an old-fashioned brawl by unanimous decision.
The tables were turned comprehensively this time in the fourth and final instalment of the family rivalry, with Eubank Jr a shadow of his former self and unable to handle the speed and ferocity of Benn.

Nigel Benn reignites bitter family rivalry: 'I find him a right prat'
10:23 , Flo CliffordNigel Benn launched into an umprompted tirade against the Eubank family after son Conor was victorious over Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday night, calling Chris Eubank Sr a “prat”.
The fathers did not shake hands pre-match and Benn said later that they faced off at the press conference, inspiring his later rant.
“At the press conference...I'm a say it now, we had a face-off,” Benn said. “He is dancing because he loves the limelight. He doesn't care about his son, he just loves the limelight.
“And he is dancing, he came right next to me and I thought 'let me just shake your hand', so I pulled him in for a hug and he put his hand up to me.
“And I actually felt like I wanted to... so when he tried to shake my hand tonight, I thought 'I ain't playing your games, mate'. I don't think I'll even speak to him again, because I find him a right prat.
“He is an idiot. He tries to quote scripture and all that, he don't even know what he is talking about.
“I just can't get him. When you have them two around you, everything is just so negative.
“Back in the day, we never talked disrespectful about our promoters that are putting money in our banks and giving us a good life.
“We never did that with Frank Warren or Mickey Duff, we never slagged them off, but the way he (Eubank Jr) talks about Eddie Hearn, how disrespectful is he? Both of them.
“And then Eubank (Sr) is always talking about, 'we're struggling at the weight, they're going to kill my son', mate, he's been a middleweight for how many years?
“He has been IBO champion, but as soon as he fights a welterweight, oh we have problems. Always bloody moaning. Always.
“I tell you what, I'm sick to death of them to tell the truth and I am glad it's over now. I am glad it's over now and we won't have hear about them anymore.”
Frampton and Jones call on Eubank Jr to retire
09:00 , Flo CliffordAs the dust settles on Benn’s emphatic win over Eubank Jr, attention turns to their respective futures.
Former boxers Carl Frampton and Barry Jones said during the broadcast on DAZN that Eubank Jr should retire.
“It was a great performance from Conor, but this might be the time to call it a day for Chris,” Frampton said. “I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm just being honest.”
Former WBO super-featherweight champion Jones agreed: “I do think it should be the end for Chris.
“It was evident from round one that he was flat. It could be weight [Eubank Jr was restricted by a rehydration clause] or it could be wear and tear, I think it's the latter.
“We should give all the credit to Conor Benn, but there were opportunities for Chris to pull the trigger.
“He didn't throw his punches from round one. He was quite lethargic.”
How the night unfolded
07:16 , Lawrence OstlereFor his part, Eubank Jr was gracious in defeat, giving no excuses for his flat performance and hailing his opponent as the better man.
"I've been through hell and back to get to this night, and it is what it is. I tried my best, and listen, the kid fought hard. He fought tough. He's got power," he said.
"Who knows, maybe we will see something new between me and him and maybe we won't, but for right now, it's all about this man. It's his night."

How the night unfolded
06:33 , Lawrence OstlereWith the two boxers' fathers engaging in a heated rivalry in the 1990s that echoed in their sons' two 2025 clashes, Benn recorded his family's first victory over the Eubanks and quickly drew a line under it, saying there would be no re-match.
"I feel like this is the end of the Benn-Eubank saga. Done. Finished. It's over ... this ends here," he said, before taking a swipe at his detractors and praising Eubank Jr.
"Everyone's saying, I can't box? Put that in your pipe and smoke it ... credit to Chris man, that's all I say. Thank you for sharing the ring with me."

How the night unfolded
05:46 , Lawrence OstlereBoth boxers struggled to land in the penultimate round and although Eubank Jr briefly tangled with the ropes, he survived but a smattering of the crowd left before round 12.
Benn was clearly ahead and yet made sure his family claimed a first victory 35 years in the waiting with a destructive round, knocking down Eubank with another one-two combination and again during the final 60 seconds.
Held aloft by his dad straight after the bell, Benn celebrated as 'Dangerous' blared over the speakers. Not long later and Eubank Jr was gracious enough to embrace the 29-year-old from Ilford.
Victory was a formality at this point, but Benn's name was read out to give his family a much-craved win in a remarkable rivalry spread across four decades.

How the night unfolded
04:54 , Lawrence OstlereAn even seventh round followed until Benn unleashed a venomous combination and a huge right onto the head of Eubank Jr.
Benn smiled and goaded his rival as the bell sounded and even though Eubank Jr spat out his gumshield at the start of round eight, a thrilling trade-off concluded this three-minute section.
The rematch had not turned into a brawl like the first encounter, but threatened to explode at any moment and Eubank Sr had words of his advice for his son going into round nine.
Eubank Jr did catch Benn soon after but whistles followed from a subdued crowd during a flat round 10 as fatigue set in.
How the night unfolded
04:04 , Lawrence OstlereBenn, dubbed the 'People's Champion' by Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn after defeat seven months ago, had been booed ahead of the first fight, but had the initial support in his home city of London and started strongly.
After Benn immediately rushed to the centre of the ring, he enjoyed the opening exchanges with a succession of body shots.
Eubank Jr looked sluggish and bundled over his rival after being caught in the corner at the start of round two, which also went to the younger man.
The jab brought Eubank Jr some much-needed success but Benn continued to produce the cleaner work to hold the advantage at the midway point of the fourth instalment of the family rivalry.
How the night unfolded
02:36 , Lawrence OstlereA mutual respect was fostered during the first fight on April 26 and ensured a largely drama-free fight week - even though the presence of Eubank Sr at Thursday's press conference sparked a heated exchange with old adversary Benn.
With Eubank Sr always set to be in attendance, the rings walks were expected to lack wow factor and star quality until 50 Cent walked out to stun the jubilant crowd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The American rapper was one of many A-listers present with actors Jason Statham and Pierce Brosnan ringside along with Thierry Henry and pound-for-pound super-middleweight champion Terence Crawford.

How the night unfolded
01:49 , Lawrence OstlereConor Benn claimed redemption against an out-of-sorts Chris Eubank Jr with a masterful display to end the long wait for his family to secure victory in this 35-year rivalry.
The sons of Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr had produced a classic encounter in April which went the way of the latter to ensure it was 2-0 after three historic bouts.

Popping jab by Benn, who is still boxing on the front foot. Eubank misses with a few poor left-hand attempts – not for the first time tonight.
But Benn misses badly with a jab as well. He then jettisons a couple of crosses to the body, though, as he rediscovers his timing.

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:51 , Alex PattleNow it’s the turn of Chris Eubank Jr, 36, who is trying to do the double over his bitter rival.
While April’s showdown was an instant classic, Eubank Jr did enough in the important moments to stay ahead of Benn.
Honestly, there are reasons to believe that Eubank Jr could win even more clearly tonight, but there are also reasons to believe the rematch could be even closer – or favour Benn, in fact.
Eubank Jr struggled with the rehydration clause in April, but he’s looked better at the weight this week. Still, Benn weighed in heavier than Eubank Jr for this second middleweight clash, interestingly.

Steve Bunce: Why Benn may have crucial edge over Eubank Jr in rare rematch
Saturday 15 November 2025 21:42 , Alex PattleThe day after the first fight, the fathers each had a critical role to play. Chris was bedside with his son and never left him until he was released.
Nigel met with Conor, and they found a second away from any other ears. “You lost, now you have to go and put it right,” said Nigel.
That sets up Saturday nicely. The winner will be the smarter fighter. And possibly the fresher. Benn might just have that edge.

Jack Catterall and Ekow Essuman clash in British welterweight tilt
Saturday 15 November 2025 21:29 , Alex PattleApplause now, as Essuman is finally standing again after receiving oxygen.
Upon seeing a replay, I don’t think that’s an especially controversial finish.
The referee ruled no knockdown when Essuman tripped, but he said so from behind the boxers; Catterall was focused on ensuring he followed up properly – and he did, dropping Essuman for real.
Essuman seemingly heard the referee, because he protested while on the canvas, but he should have prioritised defending himself in the time between the non-knockdown and actual one...
... if that makes sense!

So well that he falls through the ropes! Thankfully he doesn’t go over the ring apron!
But back in the ring, he’s put under more pressure from the Engine. Catterall is pawing at his cut, too, as blood streams down his face.
Catterall cannot afford to let this one slip in the final rounds, like he did against Arnold Barboza Jr.

Catterall jabs well then lands a southpaw cross.
Essuman is on the canvas, but only from a trip.
He’s back up, and Catterall is lancing him with jabs and straights. Nice angle changes by Catterall, too.

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:09 , Alex PattleRound seven
You have to respect Essuman for his drive. They don’t call him the Engine for nothing.
He’s trying to stay on the front foot and box with volume, even with a damaged nose and the nuisance of Catterall’s counters in front of him.
Catterall has landed 50 power punches to Essuman’s 54, per DAZN.
Still, Catterall has to stay alert against the Nottingham fighter...
And indeed, Catterall now has blood on his cheek and shoulder, from a a cut!
A right uppercut seemed to do it! El Gato leaned right into it...

Clever uppercut by Catterall, then a left hook. He’s using that southpaw rear hand like a wand right now.
Essuman, to his credit, is chasing after the former super-lightweight contender anyway.
He ends the round well, too.
Good recovery by Essuman, but surely his nose will give him grief down the stretch?

Some decent counters by Catterall when Essuman ventures forward.
The slightly sterner shots are coming from Catterall, I’d argue, with Essuman’s nose busted – although neither boxer is a KO artist.

Hot prospect Adam Azim faces antagonistic Kurt Scoby on short notice
Saturday 15 November 2025 20:18 , Alex PattleRound 12
Scoby actually starts this final round positively, on the front foot and landing one or two good shots.
But Azim quickly turns the tide. He’ll desperately want a stoppage here... He has Scoby on unsteady legs, backed against the ropes...
And Scoby drops to his knees! It was on delay, but he’s down!
He beats the ref’s count, but the official sees something he doesn’t like in Scoby’s eyes – and that’s it!! Waved off!

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:00 , Alex PattleRound two
Oh!! Down goes Welch in round two, floored by an overhand right!
He barely beats the referee’s count, and in the next exchange, he stumbles to the canvas after just a shove from the lead hand of Riakporhe.
Welch wings a big right hand that is miles away. Riakporhe comes at him with jabs and corners him.
And another knockdown!! Riakporhe drops Welch again with a right cross, and after Welch just about makes it back to his feet, he’s knocked down a third and final time – courtesy of a right hook – with the ref waving it off at once!
Welch is soon back on his feet, talking to Riakporhe, but that was the right call by the official.

Interview | Eubank Jr: 'People try to strip us of our health – we’re used, betrayed’
Saturday 15 November 2025 16:30 , Alex PattleEubank Jr drums his fingers against his plastic water bottle, staring past it and at the floor. After a long silence, filled with thought, he says: “I don’t think I’m gonna answer that one.”
Eubank Jr does not share his rival’s mistrust of the media, but on the cusp of his highly-anticipated rematch with Conor Benn, the 36-year-old is picking and choosing what to share when it comes to his stirring revelation this week: that he will be a father to twin boys. As Eubank Jr and Benn once again prepare to emulate their dads – Chris Sr and Nigel – with a rematch to mirror their fathers’ 30 years ago, it’s insisted there will be no third-generation showdown.
Sitting upstairs in Canary Wharf’s glassy Pelligon building, four days out from Saturday’s rematch, Eubank Jr looks almost unrecognisable from two versions of himself in April: the skeletal figure trying to make weight, and the swollen, hospitalised one after a blood-spattered thriller in Tottenham. Today, his eyes look only slightly sunken, the shape of his skull just subtly pronounced.

Interview | Benn: ‘If you win a boring fight, did you really even win?’
Saturday 15 November 2025 16:20 , Alex Pattle“It came so close, to where it was like: ‘I just need one more punch,’” Benn told The Independent in the Matchroom gym in Essex last month, reflecting on moments when Eubank Jr looked in serious danger of humiliation in April.
“He just used his experience well in there. I didn’t give him enough credit, but he deserves it for his chin, resilience, heart, engine. To deliver that sort of fight for the public, there’s only one man who could have brought that out of me: his name’s Chris.”

How the night unfolded
Saturday 15 November 2025 23:49 , Lawrence OstlereConor Benn claimed redemption against an out-of-sorts Chris Eubank Jr with a masterful display to end the long wait for his family to secure victory in this 35-year rivalry.
The sons of Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr had produced a classic encounter in April which went the way of the latter to ensure it was 2-0 after three historic bouts.
A fourth and final instalment failed to match the drama of previous contests, but Benn produced a composed showing for the best performance of his career to win by unanimous decision after the judges scored the one-sided fight 119-107, 116-110, 118-108.
How the night unfolded
Saturday 15 November 2025 23:52 , Lawrence OstlereA mutual respect was fostered during the first fight on April 26 and ensured a largely drama-free fight week - even though the presence of Eubank Sr at Thursday's press conference sparked a heated exchange with old adversary Benn.
