Eubank vs Benn 2 LIVE: Result, fight stream and reaction from huge rematch

Eubank vs Benn 2 LIVE!

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn renewed hostilities in a hotly-anticipated rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night. Fight fans hoping for another epic showdown just over six months on from an April classic between the two bitter long-time rivals were left sorely disappointed as a resurgent Benn completely dominated his lethargic opponent to gain emphatic revenge for his first professional defeat.

Eubank Jr claimed initial bragging rights over his arch-foe just over six months ago on a night when he was emotionally reunited with his famous father after four years of estrangement, earning a deserved unanimous decision win after a dramatic 12 rounds in which momentum swung back and forth gloriously. But there was never any danger whatsoever of a repeat in a one-sided second fight that may well prove the last chapter in a family rivalry spanning 35 years of British boxing after Benn - who knocked down Eubank Jr twice inside the final minute - ruled out the prospect of a decisive trilogy bout.

On Saturday night’s absorbing undercard in north London, Jack Catterall knocked out Ekow Essuman in the co-main event, after Adam Azim dominated late replacement opponent Kurt Scoby. Richard Riakporhe also stopped Tommy Welch at heavyweight after Ishmael Davis outpointed Sam Gilley in a thriller and Mikie Tallon defeated Fezan Shahid. Follow Eubank vs Benn 2 reaction live below!

Eubank refuses to rule out retirement

08:37 , Giuseppe Muro

Chris Eubank Jr refused to rule out retirement after losing to Conor Benn.

But Eubank Jr has said he needs time to heal after going "through hell and back" before the fight.

Eubank Jr looked a shadow of his former self and was unable to handle the speed and ferocity of Benn.

After an out-of-sorts Eubank Jr twice picked himself off the canvas in round 12, he was magnanimous in defeat and reiterated the night belonged to Benn, but speculation over the reason behind his flat display will go on.

"I've been through hell and back to make it here," Eubank Jr said.

"I genuinely thought that regardless of the issues that I have been dealing with, I would be able to go in there and win, use my boxing skills and use what I used in the first fight to beat Conor Benn.

"From that first round, I realised that I was mistaken, but it's OK. I'm a fighter and this is what I do. Regardless of the dangers and the risk, we go to war and that's what we do.

"I tried my best. Conor Benn put on a hell of a fight, he had a great performance and did everything that was asked of him. I congratulate him for his performance."

Benn names next opponent target with Eubank Jr trilogy 'over'

02:10 , George Flood

Conor Benn is targeting a first world title shot next after his stunning rematch win over Chris Eubank Jr.

‘The Destroyer’ produced a dominant display to inflict revenge on his arch-rival in Saturday night’s one-sided rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, emphatically bouncing back from his first career defeat by the same opponent in a modern classic back in April.

Despite their bitter feud now being levelled at one win apiece, Benn afterwards declared that there would be no trilogy fight against Eubank Jr, declaring the 35-year saga between two of British boxing’s most famous families to be finished and not to be passed down to future generations as it has been from their fathers.

Instead, the 29-year-old wants to return to his natural home of welterweight after two significant jumps up to middleweight to battle Eubank Jr, having not fought at 147lbs since his low-key win over Peter Dobson in Las Vegas in February 2024.

'It's over': Benn rules out Eubank Jr trilogy fight

02:08 , George Flood

Conor Benn insists there will be no trilogy fight against Chris Eubank Jr as he declared the long-running feud between two of British boxing’s most famous families to be finished.

The Benns finally recorded a first win over the Eubanks at the fourth time of asking after 35 years on Saturday night, with Conor delivering a dominant display to earn a wide points victory over Eubank Jr in a shockingly one-sided rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Such a comprehensive triumph saw him successfully avenge his first professional defeat in a memorable first fight at the same venue back in April, after dad Nigel both lost and controversially drew with Chris Eubank Sr in ferocious middleweight and super-middleweight world title bouts in the 1990s.

With the overall family score now reading 2-1 to the Eubanks and Conor and Junior’s own personal rivalry locked at 1-1, the stage looked set for a high-profile and decisive money-spinning trilogy fight in 2026.

However, Benn has now quickly ruled out that possibility, insisting that the epic saga is now over for good and also won’t be passed down any further generations.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 scorecards revealed as boxing fans left in shock

02:05 , George Flood

The official scorecards for Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 have now been revealed, with one judge having the one-sided rematch even after eight rounds to spark strong criticism from fight fans on social media.

Benn’s promoters Matchroom Boxing posted the scorecards on X shortly after their man delivered something of a masterclass to earn a wide unanimous decision victory and successfully avenge his points defeat in a thrilling first fight at the same venue held back in April.

“One sided beatdown,” was the rather gloating caption supplied by Matchroom, though a closer look at the round-by-round scoring led to a big surprise.

Benn targets world title tilt at welterweight

Saturday 15 November 2025 23:25 , George Flood

Benn’s mum has also been up in the ring to embrace her son in more emotional scenes.

After further interviews with Conor, Nigel and Eddie Hearn plus trainer Tony Sims, it seems very much like a return to his natural home of welterweight and an attempt at winning a world title is now firmly the plan.

I really wouldn’t rule out a third fight despite Benn declaring the long-running bitter saga now closed, but it won’t be next.

Benn rules out Eubank Jr trilogy fight

Saturday 15 November 2025 23:04 , George Flood

Lovely show of respect between Benn and Eubank Jr during the post-fight interviews.

“People said I couldn’t box, put that in your pipe and smoke it,” says Benn after his career-best win.

“I’ve got one on you,” he tells his dad with a smile.

Most crucially, Benn says the saga is now over and there won’t be a trilogy fight.

Do we believe it? Eubank Jr doesn’t rule it out, but says he has other stuff to sort.

He has twin boys on the way of course.

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:59 , George Flood

Here come those scores...

119-107, 116-110, 118-108 - all in favour of Benn of course!

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:57 , George Flood

The jubilant Benns and Hearn are dancing inside the ring as we await the official judges’ scorecards.

The Benns are about to celebrate their first-ever win over the Eubanks in this famous family rivalry after two defeats and a draw.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:55 , George Flood

Benn roars in celebration as he hugs dad Nigel and then Eddie Hearn.

Eubank Jr looks crestfallen as he receives a pep talk from his father.

The two fighters then embrace and share a few respectful words.

No doubt about which way this is going!

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 12

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:53 , George Flood

Eubank Jr staggers to the final bell but he was so fortunate not to get stopped there.

An absolute masterclass from Benn, who will surely take an extremely wide points win.

Stunning. No other word for it.

EUBANK JR IS DOWN TWICE IN THE 12TH!

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL FROM BENN!

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 11

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:49 , George Flood

Eubank Jr just doesn’t have it tonight in any shape or form.

Benn with a boxing clinic, he’s been absolutely dominant.

Eubank Jr needs to go for it in the final three minutes, which BoMac tells him in no uncertain terms.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 10

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:46 , George Flood

Benn is boxing so brilliantly still here, repeatedly finding a home for that fizzing right hand and piecing together some eye-catching combinations.

Eubank Jr is resorting to last-gasp flurries in each round to try and sway the judges, which Tony Sims points out to Benn in the corner.

Surely it won’t work. Hearn telling Benn to use his head from ringside.

Presumably that means to keep boxing well to a wide points win and not get too confident and leave himself open while chasing a late stoppage.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:44 , George Flood

A very damning statistic indeed for Eubank Jr.

He’ll get stopped here if he’s not careful.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 9

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:41 , George Flood

Yet another stinging right hand from Benn finds its mark early in the ninth.

Eubank Jr finished very strongly back in April, but there are no signs of that at the moment.

While Benn continues to utilise his jab so well, Eubank Jr’s has completely deserted him.

Eubank Jr surely needs a knockout here in the championship rounds.

We are on track for an easy Benn win and presumably a decisive trilogy bout.

If ever a picture summed up a fight...

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 8

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:36 , George Flood

It initially looked like Eubank Jr had handled the weight and rehydration stuff much better this time around, but it’s not the case inside the ring at all.

He still looks so subdued, lethargic and with no power in his legs or his punches.

Another warning for both men from referee Kevin Parker, with Eubank Jr finally coming to life in a furious exchange at the end of the eighth.

At last! He needs much, much more of that.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 7

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:33 , George Flood

A furious exchange on the ropes - there is far more zip and venom on Benn’s punches tonight despite the size disparity.

Benn ends the seventh with another sharp right hand and Eubank Jr tries to fight fire with fire.

“He’s got nothing left in the tank,” Tony Sims tells Benn in the corner.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 6

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:29 , George Flood

Eubank Jr has felt a couple of these sharp right hands from Benn, whose energy reserves are showing no signs of depleting.

Most of Eubank Jr’s replies at the moment are being comfortably deflected.

Eubank Jr chases after Benn and is rather pushed down to the canvas.

Lethargic is the word used on commentary to describe Eubank Jr, and it’s hard to disagree.

He’s being outworked and outthought through the halfway stage.

You’d be hard-pressed to give him a single round.

The comeback has got to start very, very soon.

(Action Images via Reuters)

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 5

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:24 , George Flood

Eubank Jr looks more than a step slow tonight, being beaten to the punch time and time again.

There are one or two crisp counters going in, but it’s not enough and he’s not capitalising on them.

Still not working behind the jab nearly enough.

Benn continues to look so much better.

This fight is slipping away from Eubank Jr very fast.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 4

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:21 , George Flood

As Carl Frampton points out on the DAZN broadcast, Eubank Jr hasn’t got his jab working at all yet tonight.

Benn looks fresher, quicker and more powerful, he appears to have learned the lessons of the first fight and is carrying out the game plan to the letter.

Eubank Jr is starting to get marked up with some swelling around the eyes.

He looks so subdued and slow. Maybe that gruelling first fight took much more out of him than I thought.

He has preciously few answers at the moment. Tony Sims will be delighted.

(Action Images via Reuters)

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 3

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:15 , George Flood

Benn has been jabbing like a dream so far and it’s really unsettling Eubank Jr.

Benn’s speed so far tonight given that he’s up at middleweight again is very impressive.

Eubank Jr almost makes him pay for a sloppy approach, while the former also trips.

Eubank Jr with some decent counters, but it’s all a bit sluggish still.

3-0 to Benn.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 2

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:11 , George Flood

Another stiff right lands on Eubank Jr in the corner, with a lot of untidiness ensuing as both men are warned by referee Kevin Parker.

Benn continues to dig to the body very well early on here.

Eubank Jr hasn’t really got going yet, he looks a bit frazzled and unprepared.

Benn full of energy and intent from the outset and lands another right before the bell in the second.

2-0 to The Destroyer.

(Nick Potts/PA Wire)

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:08 , George Flood

BoMac tells Eubank Jr to relax in the corner before the start of the second.

A bit of a disjointed start, but he did land that nice right hand.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 - Round 1

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:07 , George Flood

A really sharp start from Benn, who takes centre ring and lands a couple of solid early shorts.

Eubank Jr looks a bit out of sorts initially but checks Benn’s momentum with a crisp right hand.

Benn takes it and comes firing back with some fast rights to the body.

Eubank Jr ends an absorbing first round trying to go to work behind the jab.

First round to Benn?

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2

Saturday 15 November 2025 22:04 , George Flood

Huge cheers for Benn during the pre-fight introductions from Michael Buffer.

Eubank Jr seems to be back in his familiar role as pantomime villain tonight after being the crowd favourite last time around.

Catterall wants world title shot

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:39 , George Flood

Catterall with a classy post-fight interview in the ring, paying tribute to Essuman and his team.

He now wants all the world title smoke at 147, with a No1 ranking with the WBO coming.

Hearn wants him quickly locked in as the mandatory for next week’s showdown between current WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr and former undisputed lightweight king Devin Haney in Saudi Arabia.

Catterall becomes WBO Global welterweight champion

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:32 , George Flood

Replays show that Essuman was caught with a nice right hook but may have slipped initially, with the referee slow to get in afterwards as Catterall then sent him down again in a flash.

The eventual finish was absolutely ruthless from Catterall, with a massive right doing the main damage amid a flurry of brutal shots with both hands that sent a battered Essuman falling helplessly through the ropes.

Catterall was on his knees there checking on Essuman as he received oxygen.

Good to see.

Catterall is the new WBO Global welterweight champion.

Muted celebrations from Catterall with Essuman still lying on his back on the canvas outside the ropes.

He’s given oxygen and is now thankfully up and sitting on a stool.

Jack Catterall stops Ekow Essuman in round 11

Round 11

Huge drama in the 11th!

Essuman is sent back and down by Catterall after being told to break.

Round 10

Catterall is unceremoniously bundled out of the ring with blood still streaming from that cut near his right eye.

Essuman remains the obvious aggressor, though Catterall to his credit has sunk in some nice counters off the back foot.

Round 9

The celebrities keep on arriving, with Pierce Brosnan now sat next to Barry Hearn at ringside.

Emma Bunton is also there. What a mix of famous faces!

You’ve got to give Essuman so much credit for this comeback given the grotesque state of that right eye.

He’s stepped up the work rate massively in the last few rounds and is letting his hands go at every opportunity.

His spirited resurgence has properly rattled Catterall, who is nowhere near as controlled and smooth in the second half of this fight.

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:17 , George Flood

Round 8

Essuman’s impressive resurgence continues in this absorbing co-main event.

He’s now looking far more purposeful, aggressive and energetic.

Despite that almost completely closed right eye, he’s firmly on the front foot and landing plenty.

Catterall needs a quick reset.

Terence Crawford in the house

Saturday 15 November 2025 21:15 , George Flood

Terence Crawford has just been shown arriving in Chris Eubank Jr’s dressing room backstage.

The duo now share a trainer again of course after Eubank Jr’s recent reunion with Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre.

Round 7

Essuman’s right eye is badly damaged and closing fast, but now there’s a horrible cut above Catterall’s right eye that is pouring.

This is a bloodbath at the moment!

Essuman senses an opening and piles on the pressure on the front foot, uncorking some thunderous right hands.

It’s all getting a bit ragged and sloppy from Catterall all of a sudden.

Is he panicked by that cut? Time is of the essence for Essuman with his eye almost swollen shut.

Round 6

Blood is smeared over the face of both fighters from that nasty cut on Essuman’s nose.

He’s getting a little desperate here already trying to load up on the aggressive power punches, walking onto a lot of shots and combinations.

A slower sixth from Catterall but still some tidy work.

Essuman maybe just edges it for his first of the night?

Round 5

That move Stateside to train with Derek "Bozy" Ennis in Philadelphia looks to be working wonders for Catterall.

Essuman is being thoroughly outclassed.

Round 4

A wonderful combination from Catterall puts Essuman down late in the fourth!

The hook is followed by a savage short uppercut.

Replays also show an earlier clash of heads that opened up that cut on Essuman’s nose.

This is as good as I’ve ever seen Catterall, you never see him this spiteful and aggressive.

Essuman survives to hear the bell, but he’s in big trouble here.

Round 3

Catterall is firmly on top through the first three rounds here, picking his punches very well.

Essuman looks to have a cut on the bridge of his nose and I think there’s also blood coming from his nose as well.

The southpaw jab to the body from Catterall is so sweet.

Jack Catterall vs Ekow Essuman

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:53 , George Flood

Round 2

This is a much faster start than we’re used to seeing from Catterall.

He looks energetic early on and nice and loose, jabbing well out of that southpaw stance still and throwing the one-twos with aplomb.

Essuman has yet to offer much through two rounds. He’s getting caught a lot.

Jack Catterall vs Ekow Essuman

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:47 , George Flood

Round 1

Catterall is certainly not the quickest starter typically and his usual style can never really be described as thrilling.

But he’s looking confident and effective early on here, taking centre ring from the outset and jabbing nicely.

He’s looking to set up the right hand, with Essuman looking a little awkward.

Jack Catterall vs Ekow Essuman

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:45 , George Flood

This is a second fight up at welterweight for ‘El Gato’ Catterall, who bounced back from his agonising split-decision defeat by Arnold Barboza Jr in a WBO super-lightweight title eliminator last year with a technical decision win over Harlem Eubank - Chris Jr’s cousin - in Manchester in July that ended early due to a nasty clash of heads.

Essuman defends his WBO Global welterweight title, having stunned Catterall’s former arch-rival Josh Taylor on points in Glasgow in May, sending the former undisputed super-lightweight world champion into retirement.

The winner of this bout will surely be knocking on the door for a world title shot at 147lbs in 2026.

Turki Alalshikh and Eddie Hearn have been interviewed by DAZN before the co-main event at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Still no confirmation of the £140m December Netflix blockbuster between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.

But Alalshikh confirms that Joshua will fight in Saudi Arabia in February and again in a huge fight in September.

But he can’t say that latter bout will be against Tyson Fury...

Adam Azim stops Kurt Scoby in final round

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:23 , George Flood

Round 12

A totally dominant, flawless performance from Azim that finishes with a flourish!

Scoby just has nothing left at all in the final minutes as he is subject to another formidable and sustained attack from Azim.

He produces all his best shots and mercilessly batters both head and body again, Scoby finally has enough and takes a knee after a final left hook upstairs.

Superb stuff. Azim moves to 14-0 and picks up the WBO Inter-Continental super-lightweight title.

A world title shot in 2026?

Everyone wants to see the Dalton Smith fight, with Smith battling Subriel Matias for the WBC title in New York in January.

Round 11

Azim throws a left hook and then quickly follows up with a massive right hand that rocks Scoby.

He just about stays upright despite a vicious onslaught from Azim, who senses a finish with his opponent on very unsteady legs indeed.

Scoby is extremely grateful to hear the bell at the end of the penultimate round.

He’s a very tough customer, to be fair to him. Not sure how he’s not been down yet.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:16 , George Flood

Round 10

It’s normally a bit of hyperbole when you say that you can’t find a single round for a fighter, but that is genuinely the case tonight.

Flawless from Azim so far.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:12 , George Flood

Round 9

The ninth follows the same pattern, Azim not slowing down yet as he continues to deliver those pretty combinations time and time again on the front foot.

The right uppercut is eye-catching and has landed a lot tonight.

He’s not hurting Scoby much at the moment, but it’s been absolute domination throughout.

I’m just repeating myself now, but the footwork and hand speed is so, so impressive.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Saturday 15 November 2025 20:08 , George Flood

Round 8

Azim has every single shot in the book and he’s showcasing them again tonight, the left to the body is really leaving its mark on Scoby.

Another round easily in the bag as he continues to ease through the gears.

I’ve only just clocked that Scoby is sporting a pair of cowboy boots.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Round 7

Turki Alalshikh - a big fan of Mikie Tallon - arrives at ringside during the seventh and sits down next to Eddie Hearn.

The cameras then pan to Chris Eubank Jr getting out of a car alongside his dad - not nearly the same impact as that iconic arrival at the same venue back in April, but it’s still great to see them together again.

A huge cheer inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Benn also makes his way into the venue.

A spiteful seventh from Azim, who continues to attack both head and body with real ferocity.

Scoby was hurt again and can do absolutely nothing to turn the tide here, he’s taking real damage to the body.

He’s also had a point taken off.

Round 6

This is a boxing clinic from ‘The Assassin’ at the moment.

He has won each and every round so far at a canter and the comparatively sluggish Scoby can barely lay a glove on him in response.

He has no chance of slowing him down.

A truly thankless task for the American at the halfway stage.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:56 , George Flood

Round 5

More of the same in the fifth as Azim continues to glide around the ring, totally controlling the pace and distance while continuing to land a lovely variety of punches, combinations and flurries with that mesmerising hand speed.

The lightning jab is consistently excellent and setting up his attacks wonderfully.

I’m just not sure what Scoby can hope to do about this.

He’s got a lot more muscle than Azim, but can’t ever get close enough to try and land properly or attempt to rough him up.

Adam Azim vs Kurt Scoby

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:51 , George Flood

Round 4

The muscly Scoby wants to go toe to toe from close range but you wouldn’t advise it.

In any case, Azim’s speed allows him to dictate the distance and tempo for the most part.

He continues to punish Scoby with those fast flurries, switching up his attacks beautifully.

Total one-way traffic at the moment.

Round 3

Scoby kept Azim on his toes with his first solid shot of the fight early in the third.

He is a joy to watch and trainer Shane McGuigan looks very pleased in the corner.

Round 2

Domination early on from Azim, who is as fast on his feet as ever and his hands the typical blur.

Azim is gliding around the ring effortlessly as usual, timing his variety of attacks very nicely indeed.

This could be a long night for Scoby.

Azim is 13-0 and coming off his career-best win over the experienced Sergey Lipinets at Wembley Arena back in February, in which he produced a dominant ninth-round stoppage to pick up the vacant IBO super-lightweight title.

18-1 American Scoby took this fight having only beaten Alex Martin in the eighth round in New York in September.

Scoby has done his very best to get under Azim’s skin this week during some lively exchanges.

But it’s a typically slick start from the gifted Azim, who is already showcasing his incredible hand speed.

Next up it’s the return of unbeaten Slough star Adam ‘The Assassin’ Azim, who takes on late replacement opponent Kurt Scoby.

Azim was initially due to face Russia’s Zaur Abdullaev, who withdrew last month due to visa issues.

Riakporhe targets heavyweight impact

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:11 , George Flood

Riakporhe is certainly not lacking in confidence as he states his ambition up at heavyweight, where he wants to get firmly in the mix on the domestic scene as quickly as possible.

Lawrence Okolie, Derek Chisora, David Adeleye and Dillian Whyte are just some of the names mentioned by promoter Ben Shalom in the ring.

Richard Riakporhe stops Tommy Welch in second round

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:02 , George Flood

Round 2

Absolutely ruthless from the powerful Riakporhe in the second after a rather subdued start.

He floors Welch early with a monster right hand and then doesn’t let up.

He can’t recover despite his bravery and is sent to the canvas for the second time by another shuddering right from ‘The Midnight Train’.

There will be no third chance as referee Mark Bates waves it off and Riakporhe runs around the ring in celebration.

Welch is quickly back to his feet, which is good to see.

Riakporhe picks up the Commonwealth Silver heavyweight title.

Richard Riakporhe vs Tommy Welch

Saturday 15 November 2025 19:00 , George Flood

Round 1

A solid start from Welch in a drama-free first round in which Riakporhe didn’t really get going.

After losing to long-time rival Chris Billam-Smith at a rainy Selhurst Park last summer as the Crystal Palace fan unsuccessfully challenged for the WBO cruiserweight title, he moved up and stopped Kevin Nicolas Espindola in four rounds on his heavyweight debut on the Canelo Alvarez-William Scull undercard in Riyadh in May.

Brighton’s Welch is unbeaten at 16-0 and went to the same school as Eubank Jr, while his dad Scott is a former British and Commonwealth champion who was in the film Snatch.

And the new! Ishmael Davis outpoints Sam Gilley in thriller

Saturday 15 November 2025 18:43 , George Flood

Here we go!

115-114, 115-113, 115-113 - all in favour of Ishmael Davis, who roars in delight and is down on his knees in sheer joy after taking Gilley’s Commonwealth super-welterweight title and also claiming the vacant British belt.

Gilley looks crestfallen and in disbelief.

The right decision for me, though. What a fight.

Rematch coming?

Round 12

Fabulous drama in the 12th to finish a cracking battle, with Gilley looking hurt as Davis lets his hands go in the centre of the ring.

Gilley is down in the corner with mere seconds left, but it’s ruled a slip not a knockdown.

The final bell sounds and Davis is held aloft as Gilley climbs up onto the ropes.

They evidently both think they’ve won as we await those all-important scorecards.

I think Davis has edged it...

Round 11

Davis is buzzed and has his legs wobbled by a fierce Gilley uppercut early in the penultimate round! A magnificent shot as part of a furious attack.

Davis recovers, but that was a real potential momentum-changer late on after it felt like Davis had been on top in the second half of this brilliant fight.

Just three minutes left to go. Olly Murs, sat a few chairs down from Eddie Hearn, is on his feet at ringside!

Round 10

Gilley is showing plenty of toughness and durability tonight, eating some huge punches upstairs up close but shrugging them off.

Davis still doing the better work in the 10th, but Gilley’s corner have just showered him with praise and told him he’s looking amazing.

Tony Bellew had Gilley a round up after the ninth, perhaps he was right and we’re seeing this all wrong...

Round 9

A rapidly tiring Gilley is hurt to the body early in the ninth and Davis steps up the tempo once more, sensing blood.

He piles the pressure on the Commonwealth champion, who is struggling to keep the ultra-aggressive Davis off him now as the Leeds favourite comes forward time and time again.

The scorecards for this fight are absolutely all over the place on social media and the DAZN broadcast.

How are the judges seeing it?

Round 8

Blood trickling from the nose for Gilley now to go along with that damaged right eye.

He can’t get a handle on the distance at all here and he’s being duly punished up close by those vicious, precise combinations from a focused Davis.

Gilley is certainly still having his moments in this highly watchable contest, but Davis is on top heading towards the championship rounds.

Round 7

Davis is looking so slick and menacing on the attack, measuring his shots so well and landing plenty of combinations with precision and venom.

Gilley looks to be really feeling the pace, until he bursts back into life late in the seventh and rattles in more fearsome body shots.

Round 6

Davis gets a new lease of life in a fizzing and furious sixth round, piecing together some spiteful combinations as the firefight continues.

Gilley’s right eye looks very damaged and it’s starting to effect him, another punch straying low there.

Halfway stage and it’s been a cracker so far.

A statement sixth from Davis but this is anyone’s fight in the second half.

So tough to score.

Round 5

Gilley is having much more success with that aggressive and sustained body punching now, making Davis really feel those venomous shots.

Round 4

Gilley continues to come forward as the clear aggressor and pressure Davis, with some furious exchanges in the corners.

Davis looks to be having the best of them at the moment, inviting Gilley onto him and then making him pay with some fast flurries off the back foot.

Gilley tries to finish the fourth strongly by battering the body against the ropes, but the bell stops him in his tracks.

Round 3

Decent action in the third as both men fight well in bursts and take turns applying the pressure.

Davis is clearly caught low there and there’s a quick acknowledgement from Gilley.

The momentum continues to shift back and forth sharply with some eye-catching shots going in from both fighters.

Gilley is pushing forward constantly on the front foot, but Davis is responding with some measured and accurate combinations.

Gilley is told not to get involved in the chaos before the start of the fourth.

Round 2

Davis with a lively and energetic opening to the second, but he struggles to sustain that momentum across the three minutes and is being told as much in the corner.

Gilley takes advantage of that drop in levels as he starts to come forward on the front foot, firing to the body and seemingly even jawing with Davis’ corner before the bell.

This is heating up quickly.

Saturday 15 November 2025 17:51 , George Flood

Ishmael ‘Black Panther’ Davis, from Leeds, is a very familiar figure on these big undercards and was last seen outpointing Elliot Eboigbe only last month.

He previously lost three in a row to Josh Kelly, Serhii Bohachuk and Caoimhin Agyarko, halting his momentum after those impressive back-to-back wins over Ewan MacKenzie and Troy Williamson.

Here we go! This could be a belter. Gilley’s Commonwealth belt is on the line, as well as the vacant British title at 154lbs.

What a night for Sam Gilley, the lifelong Tottenham fan fighting at this amazing stadium for the first time.

The ‘Magic Man’ wore a Spurs shirt during the build-up this week and now has a Tottenham robe on as long-time pal Olly Murs carries his Commonwealth super-welterweight title to the ring.

Gilley is 18-1-1 and will be looking to get back to winning ways after his surprise draw against Gideon Onyenani on the Fabio Wardley-Justis Huni undercard at Portman Road in June.

Mikie Tallon compared to Prince Naseem

Mikie Tallon stops Fezan Shahid in fifth round

Saturday 15 November 2025 17:34 , George Flood

Tallon ups the tempo significantly in the penultimate round and gets an eye-catching stoppage.

Shahid takes plenty of heavy punishment during a dominant round from ‘The Omen’, who ends the fight with a dream of an uppercut that crunches into the midriff of an exhausted Shahid.

Down he goes, flat on his back at the bell and the referee duly waves it off.

What a shot, a second stoppage for Tallon, who moves to 11-0.

He’s a proper talent.

Round 4

Some really stylish moments in the fourth from Tallon.

Shahid’s defences have been stout at times, but now he’s being opened up plenty with some slick combinations and punches that are showing such good variety.

Shahid is still trying to dig to the body and slow down his youthful, sprightly opponent, but it’s not working.

Round 3

This is a decent workout through the halfway stage for Tallon, who is well on top and putting the rounds away but isn’t on easy street by any means.

The older Shahid is game and landing some solid shots of his own, with blood visible around the nose of both men.

Eubank Jr promises 'fight of the decade contender'

Saturday 15 November 2025 16:42 , Alex Young

Chris Eubank Jr promised to produce a "fight of the decade contender" with Conor Benn.

The sons of Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn were not accompanied by their fathers at York Hall on Friday, after the two upstaged their children at Thursday's press conference with a fiery back-and-forth.

Nevertheless, a packed crowd were in attendance to witness a lengthy face-off ahead of a final showdown this evening.

Eubank Jr said: "I am feeling good. Everything is on track for a Chris Eubank Jr KO win.

"I was born and bred to fight. I cannot wait to go out there tomorrow and show the world what I am made of once again.

"The first fight was a fight of the year contender. This fight is going to be fight of the decade contender."

What happened last time?

Saturday 15 November 2025 16:28 , Alex Young

Chris Eubank Jr earned ultimate bragging rights over Conor Benn back in April.

Eubank Jr claimed a unanimous decision victory in a thrilling and brutal main event that went the distance and more than lived up to the significant hype.

The fight captured the imagination of boxing fans after rekindling memories of the fierce rivalry between their fathers three decades earlier.

Chis Eubank Sr, who had seemingly been estranged from his son for some time, made a surprise appearance before the bout and the pair shared an emotional greeting.

Eubank Sr claimed after the fight that his son, who normally fights at 175lbs, was dangerously dehydrated for the first bout. Benn had never fought above super-welterweight (154lbs) before the first meeting.

Both fighters ended up in hospital after the bout, while Eubank Jr not discharged for nearly 48 hours due to severe dehydration and needing eye surgery following a clash of heads during the fight.

Both fighters make weight

Saturday 15 November 2025 16:15 , Alex Young

Chris Eubank Jr was heavier than Conor Benn when the two rivals weighed in this morning to meet the rehydration clause.

Eubank Jr was surprisingly lighter than Benn when they tipped the scales on Friday for their official weigh-in, with the 36-year-old tipping the scales at 159.1lbs and comfortably below the 160lbs middleweight limit.

Benn weighed 159.3lbs on Friday, but 24 hours later Eubank Jr stood at169.83lbs while the son of Nigel Benn came in at 167.25lbs. Both below the 170lbs rehydration clause limit.

The routine weigh-in on this occasion was in stark contrast to the previous fight in April when Eubank Jr's first attempt was 160.2lbs before a second effort of 160.5lbs confirmed he would have to pay a forfeit fee of £375,000 directly to Benn.

Eubank Jr ensured there would be no repeat on Friday and after both fighters came under the rehydration clause limit, the focus can turn to Saturday night and what has been billed as the fourth and final chapter of the Eubank-Benn family rivalry.

Eubank vs Benn 2 prediction

Saturday 15 November 2025 16:08 , Alex Young

The first fight between these two long-time foes was certainly epic, consistently high on sheer excitement, action and drama but, on reflection, rather lacking in real genuine quality.

Benn, a natural welterweight, gave a great account of himself and was ultra-aggressive from the first bell, buzzing Eubank Jr and at times defying the narrative that his rival was a clear favourite due to his well-documented size advantages having fought his career at middleweight and super-middleweight.

But boosted by the unexpected, WWE-style arrival of his father, who had been a fierce critic of the fight in the build-up, following an estrangement that had lasted for some four years, and despite a late nasty cut sustained above his right eye, Eubank Jr finished stronger to deservedly claim victory.

Six months on and with the conditions for the rematch remaining exactly the same, it’s difficult to see at first glance exactly what will change.

Benn proved early in the first fight that he can hurt the larger Eubank, but you still question if he can sustain his aggression and momentum for long enough at the higher weight to properly threaten a stoppage, particularly as another likely frenetic and gruelling contest drags on at a punishing tempo.

It will be fascinating to see what alterations he makes under Tony Sims this time around, with Benn no doubt hoping that Eubank - who announced in fight week that he was set to become a father to twin boys - again struggles with the rehydration aspect and perhaps even suffers from a dip in motivation after the supreme highs of the first fight.

Benn believes that their first battle will have taken much more out of Eubank Jr, who is seven years his senior at 36.

But now back under the tutelage of Terence Crawford’s highly-regarded trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ MacIntyre, we’re backing Eubank Jr to get the job done on the scorecards once again, settling this rivalry once and for all with no need for a decisive trilogy fight.

Eubank Jr to win on points.
