This Garbo stand collar jacket, made with hand-woven cotton herringbone fabric in black and grey is going to be one of my staples this season. Our hand-knits are created by the Kumbeshwar Technical School in Nepal, which provides employment to disadvantaged women from the lowest castes. Profits from these orders help run the KTS school for 300 needy children in Katmandu, so it's much more than a winter layer!
This gorgeous cable knit dress with a roll-neck comes in a lush alpine green or charcoal grey. It can be dressed down with jeans or worn as a dress over opaque tights. Photograph: PR
Something new from the People Tree jewellery range is this funky felt bead necklace. Brightly coloured felt balls and smooth round wooden beads combine for a quirky yet chic look. Made in Kenya. Photograph: PR
