Sunderand are continuing to track Ethan Galbraith as they look to secure the Manchester United youngster on a loan deal.
The Black Cats want to secure the services of the Northern Ireland midfielder for next season.
United have already sent a number of their young stars out on loan this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinting that others will follow once his Euro 2020 players return from their breaks.
Galbraith is one of those players, but he has been included in Solskjaer's squad for this week's training camp in Surrey.
The 20-year-old is part of a 27-strong group preparing for Saturday's friendly against Queen's Park Rangers. He also featured in last Sunday's 2-1 friendly win over Derby County at Pride Park.
Galbraith is on the radar of Sunderland, with. a number of EFL Championship clubs also interested in the Northern Ireland youngster.
Any interested spectators may have to wait until August before securing the player's services, however.
Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop has agreed to join Mansfield Town on loan while Tahith Chong is heading to Birmingham City for the season.
