Ethan Dekel-Daks scores stunning goal from halfway line in Nottingham Forest's Coventry romp

Teenage midfielder Ethan Dekel-Daks registered one of the goals of the season on Saturday morning, in Nottingham Forest’s thumping 7-1 win over Coventry City.

The Reds’ Under-18 side, managed by Gareth Holmes, kept their grip on third place in the Professional Development League after a stunning second-half showing.

Dekel-Daks lofted the ball into the Sky Blues’ net from the halfway line, just seven seconds into a second period which saw Forest hit their beleaguered visitors for six.

His Beckham-esque strike made it 2-1, while hat-tricks from Keith Asare and Will Swan rounded off a quite superb victory at the Nigel Doughty Academy.

That’s now two wins on the spin for Holmes’ men, with 11 goals to their name in those two outings, following up the 4-0 win at Watford last time out.

Martin O'Neill admits it is do or die time for Nottingham Forest's worrying away form

Forest round off their league campaign with a trip to Crystal Palace next weekend, knowing a win would see them finish third, with Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday battling it out for first and second place respectively.
