Eta weakens to a tropical storm: NHC

Eta has weakened to a tropical storm and is expected become a tropical depression later in the night, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.

Eta was located about 90 miles (140 km) west of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, packing maximum sustained winds of 70 mph(110 kph), the NHC said in its latest advisory.
