Tropical storm Eta is forecast to become a hurricane when it moves over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico in the next couple of days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Sunday.
Eta is located about 40 miles (60 km) east of Marathon, Florida, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 miles per hour (100 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
