Maghull could soon be getting a new deli and wine bar if plans to transform a former estate agents are approved.
The plans, for an estate agents in Central Square in Maghull which has been “vacant for some time” would involve a covered outdoor seating area surrounded by planting boxes according to papers submitted to Sefton Council.
Located in the main shopping area in the town, a series of drawings have been produced to illustrate how the delicatessen and wine bar would be laid out in the 110sq m building.

The drawings depict separate bar/coffee and deli counters within the building with an additional retail area and separate seating section.
Seven sets of tables and chairs are shown lining the large pavement are outside the cover unit, most of them sheltered by a large awning.
According to the application, work has already commenced on the unit’s transformation with the applicant requesting permission from a change of use from commercial to restaurant/cafe. The planned opening hours are listed as “unknown”
The plans for the deli/ wine bar are now open to consultation, after which planning officers will consider how to proceed with the application.
