There's no prizes for guessing what beautician Sophie Draper's favourite colour is.
From the brushed velvet make-up chairs to the grouting between the ceiling tiles, pink can be found in ever corner of the 20-year-old's new salon in West Bridgford.
Opening on Monday morning (September 2), Sophie Laura Beauty, in Radcliffe Road, will offer everything from hair curling to eyelash extensions and Sophie hopes it will become a girl's one stop shop ahead of a big Saturday night out.
"When I started doing lashes [in February] I always dreamed about doing my own salon," Sophie said at her Sunday afternoon launch party (September 1).
She collected the keys for the salon (located next door to No9 Men's Hair) just three weeks ago and enlisted the help of her whole family in renovating the vacant unit, which she paid for by selling her car.
She said: "I'm a real girly girl, so I wanted it to be really girly and I thought the marble floor was really classy.
"The word I like to use is Essex-y. I wanted it to be boutique-y"
Sophie along with her family stayed up until midnight on Saturday (August 31) finishing the salon which includes a faux flower selfie wall will a neon sign which read "Doing It For The Gram".
Other quirky decorations include 'floating' sweet jars on the walls, floor to ceiling mirrors and plenty of bright bouquets.
Sophie, who has nearly 10,000 followers on Instagram and runs a separate account for her Frenchie pup called Rio-Blue Cash, previously worked out of a spare room in her Notts home but as business got busier she thought it was time to bite the bullet and expand.
She said: "It's great being in a bigger space, the room I was working from beforehand was just too small."
