Essex FA's Muslimah Sports Association celebrated with prize at London Football Awards

The Essex County FA have won The FA ‘For All’ Award for their partnership with Muslimah Sports Association at the London Football Awards in Battersea.

The award recognises ‘a project or club that supports inclusion and diversity for under-represented groups in football’.

MSA aims to create opportunities for women from Muslim and BAME backgrounds to participate in a range of sports, without compromising religious or cultural beliefs.

London County FA’s work with local football scheme the St Matthews Project finished as runner up, alongside Surrey County FA’s Inclusive Schools League.

The awards, which celebrate the best of London football in the 2018/19 season, are voted for by a panel of 22 experts from across the football industry, including ex-players such as Bobby Zamora, Bob Wilson and Tony Cottee.
