Green credentials
Hotel Russell have a dedicated Green Team who are continually researching and implementing environmental initiatives.
Current actions:
• Use sustainable suppliers with good green credentials e.g. Hotel Russell's frozen food supplier won Best Green Companies 2008 award
• Dual flush toilets in most areas and water saving devices on others
• Programme of low energy light bulb installation
• On-site recycling
• Use of local suppliers and produce where possible
• Flow restrictors in place in many taps and showers to reduce water flow
Future actions
• Motion sensor and push bottom timers for lighting in selected areas
• Towel policy to encourage guests to reuse
• Key activated power in bedrooms
Travelling to the event
Underground
The nearest tube station is Russell Square (Piccadilly line). The underground station is right next to the hotel.
By Bike
Bike racks are located on the far side of Russell Square to the hotel and also in the Brunswick shopping centre located to the rear of the hotel.

By Rail
Kings Cross, London Euston and St Pancras International stations are approximately fifteen minutes walk from the hotel, Kings Cross station is just one stop away on the London Underground's Piccadilly line. All of London's remaining mailine stations, including London Victoria, Paddington and Waterloo are easily reached by the Underground network.
