ESPN targets zero top free agents to the Steelers

The 2024 crop of NFL free agents is a very good group. Teams who are willing to spend some money are going to find their rosters improved in a hurry with this group. ESPN put out their list of the 50 best free agents and which teams are their best fits.

We couldn’t wait to go down the list and see with offensive linemen and cornerbacks the Pittsburgh Steelers were paired up. So imagine our surprise when ESPN had the Steelers paired up with none of the top free agents.

Steelers general manager Omar Khan hasn’t been shy about roster moves since taking over the team a year ago so it’s a little disheartening that ESPN still views Pittsburgh as the conservative franchise of the past.

We expect the Steelers to be very active in free agency even if they aren’t inclined to land one of the top available quarterbacks and are instead opting to stick with what they have. There are multiple players along the offensive line and in the defensive secondary that would help this team.
