ESPN’s Matthew Berry furiously blasts Cardinals’ Twitter for trolling fantasy owners

If you’re a fantasy football owner who started Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson in Week 7 — after he practiced on an injured ankle and the team didn’t sign any running back off its practice squad — you were furious to watch him become basically a decoy against the New York Giants.

He had one carry for two yards and then sat the rest of the day as his teammate Chase Edmonds went wild. The franchise’s Twitter feed had some fun with it and trolled fantasy owners with a “You should’ve started Chase Edmonds in fantasy,” which was probably done tongue very much in cheek, but it still made people angry.

That included ESPN’s Matthew Berry, who delivered a rant on the Fantasy Focus Football podcast:

That really does sum it up for fantasy owners. This one is almost as good as the one he gave on Alfred Morris in 2018:
