ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky loves Baker Mayfield’s opportunity in the new Browns offense

Baker Mayfield’s first two NFL seasons have been all over the map. He’s been brilliant as a record-setting rookie, uneasy during a sophomore slump where he didn’t play with poise. Year 3 is a big one for Mayfield.

Count ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky as someone who believes the change to Kevin Stefanski’s offense will produce positive results for Mayfield. The former NFL quarterback-turned-analyst gushed about the great marriage between Mayfield and the Stefanski system.

Orlovsky, known for his unbridled enthusiasm for things he likes, let the praise horses run wild in an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up morning show. He summarized his thoughts in a Twitter post where he called the new offense a “perfect scheme fit” for Mayfield’s skills.

He also addressed the upgraded offensive line and the augmentation of the tight end talent and usage.
