ESPN reporters think Everson Griffen should go to the Seahawks

Everson Griffen announced earlier this offseason that he would be leaving the Vikings in free agency, but so far, the defensive end has yet to make an official signing.

In a recent article, ESPN had three reporters guess where Griffen should go, and all three picked the same team: the Seahawks.

Here’s what ESPN’s Matt Bowen said about Griffen fitting in with Seattle:

“The Seahawks are a zone-heavy team that relies on the front four to create pressure. That’s why I like Griffen in Seattle. He’s an easy fit in the Seahawks’ 40 front with the experienced technique, power and short-area speed to get to the quarterback.”

ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler said that the hypothetical deal between the two would make sense because the Seahawks have “been looking for pass-rush help for months but won’t meet [Jadeveon] Clowney’s price tag.”

ESPN’s Field Yates brought up that Griffen used to play for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll when Carroll was coaching at USC.
