ESPN ranks LeBron James as No. 2 player All-Time behind Jordan

It’s never a bad time to appraise the league and the best players of All-Time, considering the league is always changing, but the release of ‘The Last Dance’ has everybody talking about Michael Jordan and has people debating more about the best players they’ve ever seen. In the case of ESPN’s NBA team of reporters, they ranked the 74 best players in NBA history, a little bit of a riff on the NBA’s 50 greatest players from the first 50 years of the league.

Unsurprisingly, Micahel Jordan comes in as the No. 1 player on the list but they have LeBron listed at No. 2, just ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at No. 3 and Bill Russell, the most prolific winner in NBA history, at No. 4. After Russell, Magic Johnson comes in at No. 5, giving the Lakers franchise three of the five greatest players ever.

But as good and as thorough as the list is, the debates will continue to come, but that’s why we love to talk about sports.
