ESPN provides update on Georgia football WR Lawrence Cager’s injury

Georgia star wide receiver Lawrence Cager left the Missouri game late in the first half after going down with an injury that happened during a 30 yard gain.

Cager, who has had to deal with a shoulder and rib injury this season, got up after making the catch and immediately went back down.

He was clearly in severe pain and was unable to move his left arm.

The ESPN broadcast crew provided an update on Cager at the start of the second half, saying that the injury was to Cager’s shoulder and that he will not be returning to the game tonight.

Cager is the team’s leading receiver this season and was off to a great start tonight, hauling in six passes for 93 yards in one half.

Last week, Cager returned from an injury that he suffered vs South Carolina and had seven catches for 132 yards and a touchdown.

With Georgia traveling to Auburn and playing against the great defense of the Tigers, Georgia fans will keep their fingers crossed that Cager is able to return.

Georgia also lost starting center Trey Hill with an ankle injury.
