ESPN projects Vikings’ 2019 record

With the NFL schedule released on Wednesday night, it’s now projection time for teams.

(Even though we literally knew every team’s home and road opponents prior.)

The folks at ESPN projected records for every team in the league.

Courtney Cronin projected the Vikings at 10-6, which would rank tied for first in the NFC North with the Chicago Bears.

Here’s what Cronin wrote about her projection:

The Vikings play three NFC North games on the road in the first seven weeks. Then things get really difficult. A handful of stretches could decide the season for Minnesota, including back-to-back road games at Kansas City and Dallas in Weeks 9 and 10.

The Vikings’ schedule is difficult in the middle, but three of the team’s last four games are at home against NFC North opponents. And with a Week 11 bye, we could see this team surge late.

Most fans would love a 10-6 season after last year’s disappointing 8-7-1 campaign.
