ESPN is reportedly moving its Michael Jordan documentary up to April

Sports fans for the past few weeks have been clamoring for ESPN to release its 10-part Michael Jordan documentary, “The Last Dance,” sooner than the planned release date in June.

Now it looks like that is going to happen as the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported late Monday night that an announcement would be made on Tuesday’s “Good Morning, America.” Marchand says the first episode will air on Sunday, April 19th.

Fans have been wanting this ever since the coronavirus put a stop to live sports a few weeks ago. We need some new entertainment and this documentary promises to be a classic one with tons of never-before-seen footage.

From Marchand’s report:

Sources said the start date will be Sunday, April 19. It was originally slated for June.

ABC/ESPN plans to make an announcement on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, according to sources.

ESPN declined to confirm either the start date or the GMA plan.

The documentary was set to debut in June prior to the coronavirus outbreak that has halted games at all levels of competition.

Hopefully this report proves to be correct… because I can’t wait to see this documentary.
