ESPN hires former Jags coach Jack Del Rio

Many former Jaguars have found their way to either television or some form of media once their career has come to an end. Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Leon Searcy are just a few who have done so. We can add another name to that list as ESPN has announced that they’ve hired former Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio to work both television and radio broadcasts for the network. We can expect to see Del Rio make appearances on “NFL Live,” “Sportscenter,” “Get Up!” and various other shows across ESPN’s networks.

While in Jacksonville, Del Rio came up a bit shy of being .500 for his 9 year tenure with a record of 68-71. Many will remember Del Rio for various things during his time in Jacksonville, some of which includes helping the franchise to their first playoff win since 1999, coaching an actual game in a suit, and being at the buffet when the front office made the decision to select Blaine Gabbert

How do you guys feel about ESPN hiring Del Rio? Do you believe he’ll be a great fit for tv? Let us know in the comments below.
